About Terry McMillan, MD
Dr. McMillan is a board certified Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose, and Throat) who has been practicing in Las Cruces, New Mexico for over 20 years. During that time, he has practiced the full range of Otolaryngology. Dr. McMillan has extensive training in nasal surgery, and has always emphasized his interest and talents in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery over the years. During this time, Dr. McMillan has performed literally thousands of nasal surgeries, both functional and cosmetic. He is now in the process of refining his surgical practice to exclusively emphasize his primary interest: functional and cosmetic surgery of the nose.
Dr. McMillan is a native New Mexican. He graduated first in his high school class, earning several athletic honors along the way. His undergraduate training was at Baylor University, where he graduated cum laude and “With Distinction” from the University Honors Program, earning a Bachelor’s degree with majors in chemistry and physics. Dr. McMillan completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch; at graduation he was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society for having graduated in the top 15% of his medical class. After graduation from medical school, Dr. McMillan stayed on at the University of Texas to complete five years of training in his chosen specialty, Otolarlyngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat). After a brief practice stop in Waco, Texas, Dr. McMillan moved his practice to Las Cruces in 1993, and has had a busy, fruitful practice since that time. His reputation within the medical community is stellar, and he is well known in the community at large. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Memorial Medical Center, as well as in several other hospital related areas of service. He is active in the community at large including church membership at First Baptist Church and participates actively in the lives of children Natalie, 17, and Mitchell, 15. He and wife Jodie will be celebrating 25 years of marriage later this year.
